That Time of the Month
As a gay male, I also have a time of the month. This time is filled with new fashion, style, restaurants, news and hot men. I am overcome with joy during this weeklong period. Why? My favorite magazines have arrived.
Details, GQ, Out and the Advocate collectively are my bible. I enjoy the tips, the stories, the in styles, the ads and the photography. I have learned so much about men’s fashion, technology, the gay community and the world because I read these magazines cover to cover. Then I tweet about everything I just read. I probably tweet an excessive amount about these publications, but I love what they have to say.
My favorite part about these magazines is the fact I can hold them in my hands. I know many people believe print media is a thing of the past, but I happen to love print media. I want to physically hold what I am reading. I think there is more a connection to what you are reading—especially true when reading a book. However, I am a busy person and always on a go, which is why—when I get my iPad—I will also order a subscription to read on the go. I will continue to enjoy flipping the pages in the comfort of my own home.
Would I ever consider working for any of the publications? Without a question, I would accept a job from any of these magazines. I would love to work for them.

I have to agree with you. These magazines I currently subscribe too as well. If it wernt for them I wouldnt use the hair gel or lube etc I do today. I feel with print media I can relate more with the stories since its basically in my lap. Great blog post.
