Ermenegildo Zegna F/W 2012 collection sticks to the classics–plaid , Fair Isle, scratchy patterns in wool, tweed, and corduroy. A lot is for an older crowd but there are some aspects I love.

I love ties and knits are a cute way to change it up. I love the feeling of them too!
I think anyone in that plaid suit would be channeling Brad Goreski and that’s definitely not bad thing! I would easily sport this to some classy event. It’s a little grandpa in the plaid pattern but at least it’s different.
I just love the shade of those grey pants. It’s my color.

Again with the grandpa plaid but I don’t mind it. It’s unique and fun!
The whole look with the Fair Isle sweater just makes me drool. It’s exactly something you could find in my closet now. The navy bag is big and great because it can handle the million things I carry. The sweater is just…just amazing. I need it to live.
What I love most about Z Zegna’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection are the use of teal and metallic fabrics. It’s modern styling in a futuristic way. The colors reside in my spectrum so I could easily manage wearing these looks:

I like that fact the colors are bold yet not a crazy bright neon. Even though shirts with patterns usually scream more personality, these solid shirt still give a little kick.
Ok, I didn’t think I could ever hear myself say that I want metallic pants, but I want metallic pants. I love the color and the fit. Please make your way into my life. Thank you.

I am dying over both these colors! I would never wear a full look in one color, so I would separate the pieces but I love them all.
That teal trench is so different yet manageable in color. I just want to wrap it around myself.
The suit is super unique. Everyone wear black and grey suits, but this metallic blue will help anyone stand out. It’s also not too flashy–just enough to get comments and hopefully compliments.

Dolce & Gabbana
Burberry
Similar to Dolce & Gabbana’s S/S 2012 collection, Burberry’s S/S 2012 collection is full of grey and wool. Other than grey, I love the color palette of the this collection–olive and teal. Each look was extremely dapper and British. I would wear anything in this collection.

In Dolce & Gabban’s collection we saw double-breasted coats and I am loving this one too. I really like that it is in black.
Grey anything is the key to my fashion heart. A whole suit of heather grey, fitted to a slim person? Count me in.
Nothing gives your look a little edge like studs. A subtle way (that also makes it removable) is the appearance of the studs on the gloves. I would easy sport these.
I love wool pants and I basically only wear super skinny pants. These super skinny wool pants are made for me. They should just call them the “Chiz in my pants.”

Kind of love this toggle coat. Not a huge fan of the color but the coat will definitely keep you warm.
Sweaters can be super boring; adding some color and shapes to them will make them stand out and take the banal feeling away.

Cropped jackets are something I didn’t think I could sport but this jacket is masculine and composed of my favorite color green. I want to grab it right off the model.
We all know I love my shawl cardigans. The texture in this cardigan sets it apart. It’s funky yet classy.

Back in the day when Fab.com was a gay deal of the day website, I came across EvolutionMan, a men’s care brand. I bought a few of their products and quickly became a fan. I started integrated the products into my weekly routine.
Not only are the products great, I am obsessed with the packaging. It’s clean yet manly. I love the logo and the font used in the logo. It’s sad how conscious I am of fonts. #fontwhore
Here are my favorites:
In the first photo of the post, I am using the lip balm I like it because it’s SPF 15, keeps my lips from feeling chapped in the cold and I like the popping sound it makes when I put the cover back on. Yes, I am a five year-old.

After getting my first manicure a few weeks ago and putting color on my ring fingers, I really started to like the look. So, I went looking for some nail colors. EvolutionMan, makes nail paint for men! How perfect! On is my favorite color (yes, I said color), charcoal grey! It has a little iridescent look to it so I like it a lot.

It’s never too late to avoid wrinkles. I’ve been using the revitalizing eye gel. Ok, maybe I’m not worried about wrinkles as much as I am about the bags under my eyes. Kind of sad how little sleep I get. I usually put this eye gel on before I go to bed. Seems to work well for me!

If you haven’t heard of EvolutionMan, check it out. They have a ton of other products. I like the brand so that obviously means they are cool. Duh.
Finally, fashion week is back! First stop, Milan! I’m going to pick my favorite collections by my favorite designers over the coming weeks. I will feature the looks from each collection that I love and the pieces I need to bring into my closet.
First up, we have Dolce & Gabbana’s F/W 2012 collection. If you took the 1930′s and combined it with the Victorian era it would give birth to this collection. Between the newsboy caps and cropped pants, you feel the aire of the early 20th century. Add in the golden roped design on the cape-like coats and you easily spot the Victorian era. I’m not a huge fan of the the Victorian era-inspired pieces as I am with the 1930′s-inspired pieces.
I love that many shades of grey throughout the collection–this really goes without saying.

I really dig the fitted double-breasted wool coats. The charcoal grey looks extremely dignified and it easily matches my style.
Although the bag reminds me of a doctor’s bag from ‘Dr. Quinn the Medicine Woman,’ I know it would fit perfectly with any look. You could carry anything in it. If I can take something on the go and it can hold everything I need, I am happy.

Now, that I am finally embracing the bow tie, I am glad to see it’s sticking around for the fall. I’m not too late on the bandwagon. Now to master tying one…
I am so in love with the double-breasted jacket. Usually these jackets look british-soldier-esque, but I don’t get that vibe from this extremely structure jacket. I’m on the fence about the flair on the bottom, but I don’t mind it too much since I usually have to wear women’s jackets…
Who doesn’t love a good pair of wool pants (as long as they are lined)–especially in a shade of grey. Take on any cold weather while looking super chic.

I really really really love shawl cardigans. I think they are fun and refined to wear. But, you have to make sure when you wear them that you don’t look too stuffy. To avoid that, I decided to have fun with a few a different colors that you would not expect to put together in one look–grey, tan, teal & burgundy.

I think throwing together a bunch of colors not expected to match adds some creativity to your look. It doesn’t always work, but I like how it turned out here. You always want to keep things fun and different.

I was definitely inspired by Brad Goreski’s new show, It’s Brad Brad World on Bravo for the title of this post. But it’s definitely fitting for my life–it’s full of plaid! (Firm example, yesterday’s post.)
Fun fact about this day: it was the coldest day we’ve had so far. Legit, I was shaking and screaming at @justinliv to take my pics fast! I’m scared for when it snows! I’m going to need to find some warm locations!

I hope you love my new Coach bag as much as I do! It’s huge, but in a very good way! I can fit everything I need on a daily basis in this bag: iPad, food (yes, I sometimes eat), camera, chargers, etc. But, it also works as a stylish overnight bag. It’s basically the perfect bag for someone on the go (AKA a blogger). It can carry that spare outfit you might need to change into (to avoid a walk of shame) yet works for any other day too.
I love love love my initials on the Coach tag. Coach held an event and gave everyone the option to get a customized tag. It adds that kick of personalization that I love.

There’s no surprise that I am obsessed with plaid. I actually been making a conscious effort to tone it down, but let’s face it, I can’t do that.
I have been in a “leave my iTunes on shuffle” mood lately. Surprisingly, my iTunes is 50% emo, screamo, punk and indie rock. I am really not joking. For ever Britney song, there is a cry yourself asleep song. So I felt like wearing a more rocker/grungy inspired look. Of course I make sure to put my own spin on everything (my favorite color teal)!

I am actually in love with these black heathered jeans from Forever 21. They fit so well and they are beyond comfortable.

After watching every season of Gossip Girl since the inception–I remember watching the first episode in my sophomore year dorm room with my floormates–I felt like I should pay homage to the show. Yes, I am aware that this season the show has become drastically boring, but I am willing to admit that I still cannot miss an episode! (Thank you Hulu+ on my iPad!)
I decided to mimic the style of the hottest male character, Nate Archibald. I took Nate elements but created a my own twist. He loves to wear sweaters and plaid. Normally he pairs it with a khaki pants, but I wanted to go down the black pants route.

I even took the pics on Park Ave! How GG is that?!?

I love finding secret pockets or patterns in my clothing. It’s super cute and fun. When I saw this button down, I loved it because it was blue and solid. The day I decided to wear it, I went to roll up the sleeves and saw the plaid pattern inside the cuffs. Did I let out a little shriek? Yep! I love love love plaid so it was a great surprise.

Another little treasure I found as I was buttoning up the shirt was the phrase “Life Is What You Make It.” I thought that was a very inspiring saying and it’s adorable to wear around all day. I felt empowered to really take on life (let’s do this, vision board!). Just throw on Hannah Montana’s “Life’s What You Make It” and call it my theme song for the day. Ok, call it my theme song for my life. Actually, not really, but it is a great motivational song, so let’s make it rock.
