There’s no surprise that I am obsessed with plaid. I actually been making a conscious effort to tone it down, but let’s face it, I can’t do that.
I have been in a “leave my iTunes on shuffle” mood lately. Surprisingly, my iTunes is 50% emo, screamo, punk and indie rock. I am really not joking. For ever Britney song, there is a cry yourself asleep song. So I felt like wearing a more rocker/grungy inspired look. Of course I make sure to put my own spin on everything (my favorite color teal)!

Hi! Firstly, I think that your outfits are very stylish and I wish to dress like you someday! You dress in such a cool way that is “gay,” but very fashionable and chill. I love that. You have mentioned in the past that you have come out to your immediate family. But have you ever come out to your extended family? Like aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I’m in the process of coming out but I don’t feel the need right now to come out to ALL of my fam, i.e. my extended family. I was just wondering what your take on this is! Thank you for any reply, I see that you are very busy.

Congrats on coming out! Always a big step but I know I felt so much better about myself afterwards because I didn’t feel like I was hiding any more.
Honestly, it’s whatever you are most comfortable with doing. If you want to scream to world you’re gay, DO IT! If you don’t, you don’t have to! I was never close to my extended family so if I told them they would be like “oh, haven’t heard from you in years.” So for me, that was not going to happen. It just eventually came out to them. Not anything special moment which I am fine with.
I did let everyone close to me in my life know. I think you are doing the people you are closest to an injustice if you are hiding who you are. They should accept you no matter what and if they can’t, you don’t need that negativity in your life. But that’s my two cents! Thanks for reaching out!
