This week begins one of my favorites weeks of the year–fashion week! This fashion week is for Spring/Summer 2012. While we are watching what the trends are for the spring, here are the fall trends that I love, will actually sport and at affordable prices.
Wingtips Shoes
Aldo | $100
I have actively been looking for pair in my size. I love these shoes because they are classic, are worn by real gentlemen and have the wingtip pattern that spices up a more dressy shoe.
The Briefcase
Jack Spade | $195
I have an obsession with bags which has only developed recently. I basically buy at least one bag each month. Not sorry. But, I am glad the bag of the moment is the briefcase. I bought a Kenneth Cole briefcase about a year ago for $250, so I’m excited to actually use it…for once.
Plaid Ties
The Tie Bar | $15
My former obsession was ties–specifically plaid ties. I have a ton of ties and I wish I wore them more often, but I fail. I love plaid anything (except pants) so I would love to jump on this trend.
Horizontal Stripes
Topman | $60
My second love to plaid is stripes. I love striped sweater because it breaks boring solid colors. I am not a huge fan of giant stripes, but the thinner kind shown above is something I can see myself wearing.
Varsity Cardigans
Urban Outfitters | $44
A necessity in every gay man’s wardrobe is the cardigan. This season it’s back to the 1950s in style. I feel like I’d be ready to sway my hips to Elvis in this cardigan, but I love it. As long as the color is not fruity, I think I can handle this kind of cardigan.
