After years of creating resolutions for the new year and then failing to actually make them happen, I figured I should take a different approach–create a vision board.
Vision boards have been popping up everywhere–Twitter, TV (Happy Endings), friends, etc. I knew it was time I should make one. So, I decided to replace resolutions with a vision board.
The idea behind a vision board is that you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation. In time, your life changes to match those images and those desires (or at least hopefully).
The above vision board is everything that I want for myself for 2012. And here is the explanation:
I want to go to Disney Gay Days. I have a timeshare in Disney so it makes sense! Now to find gays to go with!
I want to take more photos. I have been slacking with taking photos (except Instagram) but I just got an amazing camera for Christmas so taking pics is a must!
I want a boyfriend. It’s been long enough–this needs to happen ASAP. Not joking! Any takers?
I want (need) to move to NYC. It’s disgustingly sad that I still live at home on LI. I feel the heads shaking as you read. I need to make this move ASAP. I can’t deal with the commute anymore.
I want to read more. If you have any book suggestions, send them my way!
I want to expand my closet even more. I need to look stylin’ everyday!
I need to hang with my friends more. This will also come when I make my move.
I need more tattoos and glasses. I already know which I want for both, I just need to get them.
I want a bigger social presence. I want my follower and reader numbers to continue to grow! I love all the support I get from everyone!
I want to go to a ton of concerts. I used to go to the concerts almost monthly, but 2011 was not a year of concerts for me. That needs to change! Lady Gaga also needs to announce her tour.
I want more money. I need to take on freelance projects and save more.
I want to maintain a skinny, muscular body. I just need to keep up what I have and maybe go a little harder. I need to look good for the boys, of course!
I want to go vegan for a month. I don’t know why, but I just want to see if I can be a vegan for a month. I also want to blog about what I’m eating/my thoughts during the month. Will I feel healthier? That is the question!
